How Much is Your School Business Worth Part 2 - Believe Iboyi

There is a subtle failure in school business and many aren't even aware.
Within January till today, we have facilitated the transitioning of about five schools to shutdown - this I'm not happy about, but there are hard pills that must be swallowed.

Why this slow steady death of schools?!

Why are  the managers of the school not seeing the hand writing on the wall as this failure looms?!

I am not just writing for writing sake, i am putting up this write up because I feel hurt about this painful exit.

We are again working on transitioning to shutdown a school that's over 20 years plus  to seal its fate as the session ends in July, 2019.

I have seen adverts of schools being put out for sale on colleagues social media platforms and I'm being contacted by school owners who are willing to sell if we can get buyers.

School owners are struggling, please speak up, connect, contact and referral - this is critical

I have met school owners who are dead afraid to try or even attempt implementing some of our "Suppose rebel ideas" ideas that have established and put some schools to balance.

I feel weak, this isn't the kind of consulting I want to do please!

Why do schools now contact when all is done but refuse to connect when we can still salvage?!

Common things I observed about those failing schools

Let it be known that we as an education strategy enterprise take seriously privacy matters of our clients

However, we still need to share nuggets of our experience to educate, inform and expose other business owners to the truth.

1. The owners are quite elderly and all women in their late- sixties

2. All of them have adult children who are doing well in their various professions within and outside Nigeria but these children are not in any way interested in the school

3. The schools do not have management structure as everything about the school was on the shoulders of the owners.

Let me add more !

4. The schools were not adapting any technology tools to leverage learning

5. The entire operations seems so traditional

6. We could not track any finance of the school as there was no records. And the level of indebtedness ( owing parents ) was overwhelming.☝🏾

Yes, I'm aware many schools are doing well, however, many others aren't doing so well too

Don't run your school like some sort of market place with no system and structure.

There is a how to so many things.

I believe in your success.
